How to save ur wedding budget...

I had just done my reception and feeling very content with the result of my 6-month planning and preparation. With the help and advices from my big sis... alhamdulillah, I got to save some penny in spending... adela terkucil sane sini... but i made sure i spent on things that really are worth my money and the things I appreciate. :)

There are a few tips on how to be budget savvy n not to burnt a hole in ur purse for ur wedding:

1) BE CREATIVE & HARDWORKING - create ur own deco, search for DIY ideas and DO IT! Don't give up on making ur dreams come true... sacrifice a few night outs to work on ur wedding... after all it's a once in a lifetime event. so.... rajin-rajin kanlah diri. Sometimes... U'll surprised yourself once u've finished the job. Things u might want to consider for DIY : card design, doorgift, hantaran, flowerballs, inai, guest book, thank you tag, etc2.

2) DO RESEARCH - before u decide on anything (photo/video graphers, makeup artist, dress maker, cakes, henna, spa treatment, honeymoon) basically EVERYTHING. Do your own research. Research includes : magazines... websites & blogs... friends' recommendation... etc2. I did mine mostly thru the web. WWW is rich with information... :)

3) WINDOW SHOPPING - it's best to window shop for options first before u buy... that's if u have the time and if u r the kind of people who would like to keep the options open. Once decided. BUY and NEVER EVER window shop on the items anymore! Sgtla scary n risky... cos u might end up buying a LOT of doorgift.. a LOT of tudung (i did! haha)... a LOT of accessories (i did also :P)... and a LOT of other similar things of which u'll end up only using one.

4) START EARLY - time plays a very important aspect. If u have time... everything will run smoothly... cos u won't panic early. When u r calm and relax... then u'll make a better decision... n being a woman... we tend to menggelabah cepat kan... hehehehe. SO NEVER EVER SAY "xpe... lambat lagi... 6 bulan lagi ade mase". Cos u'll never know what will come up at the very last minute... kekadang tu things we didn't plan or things we didn't pay much attention to... those are the things that u need to save for the final 2-3 days to your weddding. Like mine... sume dh setel.. but 2-3 ari tula paling busy... 2 kali turun g Ikea... beli frame la... beli candle for bilik la... nak beli tmpt gantung baju la... hikhikhikhik. Then mase tu la nak g wat manicure la..nk g urut2 badan la... nak g waxing la... bende2 ni not in d checklist aite! :D so be prepared... make sure u start early and finish all the big parts early too....

5) Lastly, always take a deep breath - it's calming and it's gonna soothe u... :) so u could enjoy every steps towards ur wedding... i really enjoyed mine...

Alhamdulillah... my deepest gratitude to the Almighty Allah for allowing my solemnization n reception to run smoothly. For His blessings to our marriage and may we be blessed till d end of our life...

To my beloved family... for their support, love, sacrifices and hard work in making my wedding dreams true and real. It was a blissful day for both of us... and i owe that to all ur sweats. To my dearest sis, kakdur, for her undivided commitment and support to bear wif my demands and request. hihi. u know me too well sis... n we enjoyed preparing for it aite! :D Tak dilupakan my bro-in law, abg arief, for his support and toleration whenever i need to ask for my sis assistance and time... walopon ade anak tige.. u made it all easy and well. thank you! To my other sis, Ijat & her hubby, Abg Khalis, for their sacrifices to help and support me in every way they can... thank you. To my mom and dad... I LOVE BOTH OF YOU! To my lilsis, afaf n her friend dayana... thank u for being such a lovely flower girls... sgt comel~ :) Lastly... to my bigbro... for keeping up with us and bearing another chaotic event of our family... heheheheh.

To my kikilala besties and rumet... Milia, Sue, Sha n Nurul... THANK YOU all for your support. Mi... I would cry a thousand tears wif u if i was not wearing make up. I love u gal... n i'm sure gonna miss our single days together... cepat2la join i... later we can be mommies together... an experience i would love to share wif u... :) Sue, sha, nurul, kimi, fahmi & farih... thank you for the gift and ur help during my day... let me treat u guys at Muar on the 5th k... :D

The PNZ (Pu3, Nad, & Zalia) & Pu3's family - TQ to mama shina, uncle, sarah and shahirah... for coming all the way from aloq staq... sgt sedey x dan nak jumpak n muah2 auntie n u all on dat day... hope u really enjoyed everything on dat day... the notes from ur table are all touching and bisa buat ku nangis lagik d mlm hari... heheheh

To Arien, my sporting buddy, for compiling my wedding songs and for editing the few of our photos. A few but they are lovely!!! hehehe. And of cos... for bearing wif all the workload at d office... while we are honeymooning~~ hikhikhikhik. sayang ko~! mekaseh yeeeee....

To Kak Ayun, for willing to be the emcee for my event. The pantuns were simple and nice... very lovely. :)

To my new family, Ibu, Ayah, Abg Mi, Ana, Ila, Pearl & Adek.... thank you for accepting me with open arms to your family. I'm blessed to join your family....

who came from near n far... just to cherish and celebrate the beginning of my new life episode... thank you so much....

My Kedahans friends & family... thank you for traveling all the way from AloqStaq to attend my wedding. Zyl...thanks for d lovely gift. Myn, all d best for ur wedding lak dis coming weekend... i'll pray for u too k... :D
